Chelsea have fought hard to stay in the Champions League, creating many chances. But that was not enough to stop the tournament's most successful team, Real Madrid. Real showed glimpses of their potential after the break after the hosts' attack surged with great efficiency in the first half. Just like the first leg, Real beat Chelsea 2-0 in the return match at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Karim Benzema's 150th match in the Champions League is the hero of Real's victory, Rodrigo. The young Brazilian forward scored both goals in Chelsea's derby.
In another match, AC Milan reached the semi-finals of the Champions League after 16 years, breaking Napoli's dream. The return match at Napoli's ground was a 1-1 draw, but Milan had the last laugh with a 2-1 lead over the two legs. Olivier Giroud gave Milan the first lead in the all-Italian quarter-finals. Victor Osimen leveled the match in added time but it was not enough to send Napoli into the semis. Milan's Giroud and Napoli's Kavaraskeia missed the penalty in a dramatic match.
Chelsea couldn't get the job done despite a flurry of attacks in the first half at Stamford Bridge. Real did not make that mistake after the break. In the 58th minute, Rodrigo gave the team a great goal from the pass of compatriot Vinicius Jr. Just like his idol Cristiano Ronaldo, the young Brazilian celebrated the goal by jumping into the void and twisting his body. After the match Rodrigo said, this celebration is his gift to the club legend. After scoring his second goal in the 80th minute, however, Rodrigo did not return Ronaldo's celebration.
"I don't know how to explain it, the Champions League wakes us all up to perform," said Rodrigo, who, although not consistent in La Liga, is just as unstoppable as the team in the Champions League. The tournament is something special for us.
Meanwhile, the exit from the Champions League confirmed the collapse of Chelsea this season. The Blues have lost four games in a row under caretaker coach Frank Lampard.
