How to Make Rainbow Chenille

Happy weekend to all of you who are holidaying with your family or just at home, I hope you are all well and no problems. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and supported my previous post about a recipe called Cold Cake or Nagasari Kala. What do you think about this recipe? Are you not interested in making Nagasari Kala? Leave your comments below this post. Well, this weekend I will share a very interesting recipe that you have never heard before, Senil is a typical dish of East Java Pasitan town. These snacks are round in shape and made of wheat flour and starch, usually served with chenille lupis sauce and brown sugar. So, are you interested in this sweet recipe of different colors? So, to make this chenille, the ingredients and seasonings you need to buy or prepare are medium protein, starch, sugar, salt, 1 pack of vanilla, red, pink, yellow and green food colors, then mix in coconut. Baked grates, sticks and finally 1 glass of mineral water. After you have prepared all the following ingredients and spices, now let's start the first step of making chenille.

In the second step, after you add the starch and flour, now prepare a pot and pour 1 glass of mineral water, then add 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of salt to the pot. Then cook the water until it really boils and the sugar dissolves.

In the fourth step, after stirring the mixture until it is evenly mixed, now divide the mixture into 4 parts as in the picture above, then pour a little different color into each of the 4 parts you have divided the mixture into. Then knead each dough until the color of the dough changes.

Fifth step, after you have prepared four doughs, now divide each dough into a round shape as shown in the picture above. Adjust by 1 stitch as you like. I suggest 1 stick contains 4 candies of different colors. As for the size, make it a marble shape to make it more attractive.

In the eighth step, after you put all the chenilles in the pot and boil them, now you can see the picture above, one by one the chenilles will float in the water, this is a sign that the chenilles are cooked and can be transferred to a plate.

Ninth step, after all the chenille is floated and transferred to the plate, now prepare the steamer, place the bowl plate with the grated coconut on the steamer. Then steam the grated coconut for about 10 minutes so that it doesn't get stale.

Step Ten, After you have prepared the steamed coconut, now stick all the chenille on the stick as per your desire. I suggest 1 stick for 4 chenilles, as too many look unattractive. Repeat this step until finished.

In the eleventh step, after sifting the cinnamon stick till it is gone, now make the steamed coconut and add 2 tbsp of sugar or as desired. Then add the grated coconut until the sugar is well mixed.

And finally, senile rainbow is ready to eat with your family and friends. The texture of chenille is very soft and the taste of chenille is not that sweet, but adding coconut sugar will enhance the sweet taste of chenille. what do you think Interesting right?
