How to make steamed doodles

This dodol is quite famous in Indonesia and all Indonesian friends must know this one snack. For those of you who don't know.

So what you need to buy and prepare to make steamed dodol is 400 ml instant coconut milk, I used coconut milk with Sasa brand, then prepared pandan leaf pieces, granulated sugar, salt, brown sugar and finally glutinous rice flour. . That's all you need to prepare. After you have prepared all the ingredients, now we will enter the first stage.

The first step you need to prepare is the brown sugar, cut the brown sugar into small pieces or you can grate the brown sugar with a sharp knife.

Second step, after you have made the brown sugar in the previous step, all you need to do now is prepare a clean pan and pour 400 ml of coconut milk into the pan, then add all the brown sugar you cut into small pieces earlier. Half a teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar or you can also use granulated sugar and lastly a piece of pandan leaves. Then cook until coconut milk boils and brown sugar dissolves on medium flame.

Step 3 After the coconut milk boils and the brown sugar dissolves, now prepare 1 bowl and add 10 tablespoons of glutinous rice flour.

Step 4: After you have made the glutinous rice flour, now strain the boiling coconut milk with brown sugar first. Strain until the coconut milk is gone and if palm sugar still remains, the brown sugar can be broken up with a spoon in a sieve. After all the coconut milk has filtered, use a spoon to stir the mixture until the glutinous rice flour and coconut milk are well mixed.

Fifth stage, after you knead the dough until all the glutinous rice flour is evenly mixed with the coconut milk, now prepare a small or medium size baking sheet according to your desire, then apply cooking oil on each side of the baking sheet. So that the dough does not stick while steaming.

Sixth step, after preparing the baking sheet and greased each side of the pan with cooking oil, now place the banana leaves on the baking sheet, then spread the cooking oil on each side of the banana leaves to make dough. Expands and does not become sticky after steaming.

Step seven, after you have prepared a baking sheet lined with banana leaves and greased with cooking oil, now pour all the doodle mixture into the pan. Next, tap the pan on the table or floor to distribute the doodle mixture evenly or you can use a spoon to spread the doodle mixture.

At the final stage, after pouring all the dodol mixture into the pan, now prepare the steamer and place the pan in the steamer, then close and steam the dodol for about 40 minutes using medium heat.
