Bangladesh Football Federation (BAFFE) general secretary Abu Naim Sohag has been banned by FIFA for two years for financial irregularities.

After the executive committee meeting at Bafufe Bhavan in Motijheel on Monday, Senior Vice-President and Chairman of the Finance Committee Abdus Salam Murshedi said that if there was fraud, he did it personally. He sent a buck, a sum or a dollar to such and such a place. That's his personal, not the Football Federation's. But there is no fraud in the finance committee. He is banned because he did something like that. If he had done it right, he wouldn't have been banned.
Sohag's misdemeanor, will you be a part of the infamy? In response to such a question, Salam Murshedi said, we will not take any blame. Because, it is not Blaine of Finance Committee of Bangladesh Football Federation. Again I say that (Sohag) did not follow proper procedure.
The general secretary did so much, the finance committee could not see it, is it not your failure? When asked, Salam Murshedi said, failure is not a matter of success here. General Secretary is the highest post.
